Alouettes sign 3 draft picks

The Montreal Alouettes have signed three draft picks.
Canadian defensive end Jesse Joseph, offensive lineman Jacob Ruby and linebacker Nicholas Shortill have all been inked to contracts.
The Alouettes selected Joseph in the third round of the 2013 draft. Joseph played four seasons at Connecticut, recording 118 tackles and 13 sacks over his collegiate career.
Ruby went eighth overall in the 2015 draft. He spent his NCAA career with Richmond, starting in 47 of 48 games through four years.
Shortill went in the second round (13th overall) in 2015, accumulating 121 tackles and eight sacks in 26 games with McMaster.
