Wednesday was supposed to be dedicated to the Toronto Argonauts, honouring the team's historic new ownership and stadium deal.

CFL commissioner Jeffrey Orridge, Toronto mayor John Tory, new part-owner Larry Tanenbaum and Bell president and CEO George Cope sat in front of a throng of media to answer any questions they had regarding the Argos and the new deal, and to voice their excitement about it.

Instead, they were interrupted by the Toronto Maple Leafs' signing of highly sought-after coach Mike Babcock, as it unfolded during the press conference.

One reporter even requested that MLSE president and CEO Tim Leiweke - who was in attendance - come to the podium and say something about the Leafs' blockbuster signing.

The interruption was incredibly off-topic, and found a way to anger Argonauts defensive end Ricky Foley, who took to Twitter to voice his displeasure.

Foley was just getting started:

Foley also referenced the Toronto Raptors in his tweets:

And the finishing blow:

Foley is a native of Ontario, and was a part of the Argonauts' commemorative 100th Grey Cup team. Clearly, he doesn't feel the team has been able to sustain enough interest among Toronto's public, claiming the Maple Leafs own the spotlight.

He kind of has a point.
