The BC Lions have announced the signing of college quarterback Aaron Wilmer.
Wilmer was said to have surprised management at a free agent camp held in Washington D.C., with vice president of football operations and general manager Wally Buono seeing Wilmer's game as a fit for the Lions.
"Aaron has a very strong arm and his athleticism is well-suited to our game," Buono said. "His signing not only demonstrates the value of our free agent camps, but also the kind of competition we are creating at all positions heading into the season."
