CFL Game Summary - Saskatchewan at Calgary

Calgary, AB (SportsNetwork.com) - The Calgary Stampeders scored 25 unanswered points in the fourth quarter to pull off a 40-27 come-from-behind victory over the Saskatchewan Roughriders at McMahon Stadium

Bo Levi Mitchell completed 21-of-31 passes for 231 yards, a touchdown and an interception for Calgary (14-2), which had already clinched first place in the Western Division. Matt Walter rushed for 69 yards and two touchdowns on 12 carries, and Nik Lewis was Mitchell's top target in the passing game with nine receptions for 98 yards.

For Saskatchewan (9-8), which has dropped five straight games, Kerry Joseph was 21-of-37 for 322 yards with two touchdowns but tossed three fourth-quarter interceptions. Chris Getzlaf (106 yards, TD) and Rob Bagg (85 yards, TD) had six receptions apiece.

Calgary took a early lead with a single on the game's opening drive. Saskatchewan went ahead, 3-1, later in the first quarter on a 32-yard field goal by Chris Milo.

The Stamps scored a touchdown as time expired in the first quarter, as Walter rushed in from 23 yards out to give the home team an 8-3 advantage.

The Roughriders went back ahead midway through the second quarter when Joseph hooked up with Bagg on a 24-yard touchdown.

Milo connected on another field goal (33 yards) later in the frame.

Calgary had possession deep in its own territory with under a minute to play when Mitchell tossed an interception to Brian Peters, who returned it 16 yards for a touchdown.

Instead being content to go into half, the Stamps remained aggressive upon getting the ball back, and after a pass interference call in the end zone set them up on the 1-yard line, Drew Tate rushed in for a touchdown to make their deficit five, 20-15, heading into intermission.

The Roughriders padded their lead midway through the third quarter on a 40- yard touchdown strike from Joseph to Getzlaf.

Calgary got back within one score early in the fourth quarter on an 11-yard touchdown pass from Mitchell to Jock Sanders, but the ensuing two-point conversion try was no good. The score became 27-23 a few minutes later after Saskatchewan conceded a safety.

The Stamps took the lead with 6:23 to play on Walter's second touchdown run of the night, this time from two yards outs.

Calgary punctuated the come-from-behind victory with a defensive score less than two minutes later, as Jamar Wall returned an interception 50 yards for a touchdown.

The Stamps picked off another pass less than two minutes later, leading to an 18-yard field goal by Rene Paredes. Calgary's defense came up with yet another interception on Saskatchewan's final drive.
