Tiger-Cats trade defensive end Brandon Boudreaux to Roughriders

HAMILTON - The Hamilton Tiger-Cats dealt international defensive end Brandon Boudreaux and two draft picks to the Saskatchewan Roughriders for a pair of picks and a negotiation-list player Wednesday.

Hamilton acquired third-round picks in 2015 and '16. In addition to Boudreaux, the Riders obtained '15 and '16 fourth-round selections.

The six-foot-one, 240-pound Boudreaux has appeared in just three games this season, registering four tackles. But Boudreaux had 58 tackles and 13 sacks the previous two seasons with Hamilton.

The departure of Boudreaux paves the way for defensive end Justin Hickman to return to the lineup. Hickman re-signed with Hamilton last week after two seasons with the NFL's Indianapolis Colts. Hickman had a CFL-high 13 sacks with the Ticats in 2011.

Boudreaux joins a Saskatchewan defence that's posted a league-best 50 sacks.
