CFL Game Summary - Saskatchewan at Winnipeg

Winnipeg, MB (SportsNetwork.com) - Rod Williams scored a touchdown on a blocked field goal, Weston Dressler returned a punt for another score and the Saskatchewan Roughriders held off the Winnipeg Blue Bombers 30-24 on Sunday.

The Roughriders run their winning streak to seven games, but quarterback Darian Durant left the game in the third quarter with an elbow injury.

He completed 8-of-9 passes for 77 yards before departing with Saskatchewan (8-2) up 27-15.

A second touchdown pass by Drew Willy trimmed the Blue Bombers' deficit to six. Aaron Kelly won a battle for the ball in the end zone, and the 29-yard scoring strike came with 2:27 remaining in the game.

Willy, however, threw interceptions on the final two Winnipeg possessions. He finished with 360 yards on 26-of-38 passing.

Nic Grigsby added a touchdown run for the Blue Bombers (6-5), who lost to the Roughriders for the second time in as many weeks and have dropped four of five overall.

Down 7-1 after the first quarter, Saskatchewan erupted in the second quarter and took a 27-8 lead into halftime.

Williams scored on a 60-yard return, and a safety broke an 8-8 tie. Chris Milo then kicked a 35-yard field goal, Anthony Allen rushed for a 13-yard touchdown, Dressler, in his 100th career CFL game, returned a punt 75 yards to the end zone.
