Nik Lewis will be staying with Montreal for the foreseeable future.

The Alouettes signed the wideout to a new two-year contract, the team announced Wednesday.

"Signing Nik Lewis was a priority for our organization. Nik plays a key role in both his performances on the field and his contributions as a mentor with our younger players in the locker room," general manager Kavis Reed said. "Nik’s role in our offensive strategies has made us a better team since his arrival in Montreal. We are convinced that Nik will be an important component to our offensive success."

Despite being 34 years of age, Lewis is showing no signs of slowing down. The veteran posted 102 catches and more than 1,100 yards last season.

Lewis was named a first East Division All-Star for his efforts in 2016.
