Hamilton Tiger-Cats defensive coordinator Orlondo Steinauer is leaving to take the same position with Fresno State.

"I just want to take this time to say thank you and let everybody know that I have a position at Fresno State University in which I will be their defensive coordinator in 2017," Steinauer said on Twitter. "Even though that I am leaving, I will be taking with me plenty of memories. My family is extremely grateful to this community, to the organization, to all of the fans."

The 43-year-old has been the Ti-Cats defensive coordinator since 2013. He joins another one-time CFLer, former BC Lions coach Jeff Tedford, who replaced Tim DeRuyter as Bulldogs head coach on Nov. 10.

Steinauer played 13 season in the CFL with Ottawa, Hamilton, and Toronto, winning the Grey Cup twice, with the Ti-Cats in 1999 and Argonauts in 2004.
