The Ottawa RedBlacks celebrated their Grey Cup victory Tuesday afternoon with a parade through the city.
However, that parade came close to never happening. Starting quarterback Henry Burris left the field during warmups after his knee seized up, only to return minutes before the game started.
Postgame, Burris told reporters that doctors gave him medication to relieve the pain so he could play through the injury.
At Tuesday's parade, the 41-year-old told the crowd he may need surgery on his knee.
