The BC Lions look to end their season on a high, with a third straight victory, and clinch home field for the West Division semifinal in the process.

After winning 24-6 last week in Regina, the Lions will look to sweep the second half of a home-and-home series against Saskatchewan Saturday night.

BC may have won by 18, but the attention was focused on kicker Richie Leone, who went 0-for-2 on field-goal attempts, and missed two extra points as well.

This prompted general manager and head coach Wally Buono to bring 46-year old Paul McCallum out of retirement, to help shore up the Lions' kicking woes.

McCallum is a perfect 36-for-36 with BC in the postseason during his nine-year tenure in Vancouver from 2006-14.

The Roughriders were able to hold the Lions passing attack in check last week, as quarterback Jonathon Jennings threw for just 241 yards, plus an interception.

What Saskatchewan couldn't stop, however, was the ground game. Running back Jeremiah Johnson recorded his second straight 100-yard performance, while adding a touchdown. The Lions rank first in rushing yards and touchdowns this season.

Saskatchewan will be looking to close the book on what has been a poor season in Chris Jones' first year as czar of the franchise.

Still, with a win and a Toronto loss, the Roughriders will not finish last in the league.

The Lions cannot finish lower than third in the West, but if Winnipeg wins - coupled with a Lions loss - the Blue Bombers would host BC after it won the season series 2-0.
