Stampeders host Argos looking for 14th straight win

The Calgary Stampeders haven't lost since the opening week of the season, and will look to extend their winning streak to 14 straight games Friday when they host the Toronto Argonauts.

Calgary (14-1-1) dropped a 20-18 decision to the BC Lions in the season opener, and following a 26-26 tie with the Ottawa RedBlacks in Week 3, the Stamps ripped off 13 consecutive wins and have already clinched home-field advantage for the West Division Final.

The Argos (5-11) have lost five straight and will look to improve on the 48-20 defeat they suffered at the hands of Calgary two weeks ago in Toronto. They'll try to keep their slim playoff hopes alive, as a loss by the Argos or a win Friday by the RedBlacks would eliminate Toronto from postseason contention.

Toronto is also hopeful quarterback Ricky Ray will return to the lineup for the first time since suffering a deflated rib and punctured lung in a Labour Day loss to the Hamilton Tiger-Cats. Ray came off the six-game injured list this week and was taking first team reps during practice.

Drew Willy was the Argos' starting quarterback for the previous game against the Stamps, but is dealing with a shoulder injury.

Calgary quarterback Bo Levi Mitchell passed for 281 yards and three touchdowns in the win over the Argos two weeks ago and enters the game leading the CFL in both passing yards (5,127) and touchdowns (30).
