Tiger-Cats' Collaros ruled out vs. RedBlacks due to concussion

The Hamilton Tiger-Cats will be facing the Ottawa RedBlacks on Friday with their starting quarterback sidelined once again.

Ticats head coach Kent Austin announced Monday that gunslinger Zach Collaros has been ruled out of Friday's contest after suffering a concussion during last week's game against the Calgary Stampeders, according to CFL.ca.

"Zach will be out this week. He is in concussion protocol and he is doing well," Austin said. "Preliminary (indications) aren't serious but some things can change but everyone responds differently to it."

Collaros missed the first seven weeks of the season recovering from a torn ACL, and has since gone 198-for-295 for 2,531 yards, with 17 touchdowns and eight interceptions.

Backup quarterback Jeremiah Masoli, who filled in largely for Collaros in his previous absence, will handle the duties for Hamilton under centre.
