3 players who could help their team succeed in the East final

After knocking off the Hamilton Tiger-Cats last week, the Edmonton Eskimos will attempt to send home another East Division opponent Sunday when they head to the nation's capital to face the Ottawa RedBlacks.

A trip to the Grey Cup is at stake, and these three players could have a major say in determining which team gets there:

Almondo Sewell - Eskimos

Almondo Sewell had the fourth-highest sack total in the CFL during the regular season, and he recorded a sack in each of Edmonton's two meetings with Ottawa. The 29-year-old defensive tackle didn't make a ton of noise last week in the East semifinal, but great players rarely have two straight subpar games, meaning Sewell is due for a breakout against a team he knows well.

Brad Sinopoli - RedBlacks

Greg Ellingson, Chris Williams, and Ernest Jackson all racked up more yardage than Brad Sinopoli this season, but the unheralded Sinopoli led the group in receptions with 90. He may not be the biggest name in Ottawa's strong stable of pass-catchers, but the possession receiver is a vital component of the RedBlacks' offence, and seems to have a knack for picking up first downs at key moments.

John White - Eskimos

John White would've been a factor anyway, but he'll likely be counted on even more with quarterback Mike Reilly nursing a wrist injury. White rushed for 886 yards and eight touchdowns in the regular season, but had just 76 yards and one score in two matchups with the RedBlacks. Throw in the fact that Edmonton is again playing on the road, and you can bet White's success - or lack thereof - in this game will go a long way in deciding Edmonton's.
