After a nine-day road trip in Ontario, that saw the BC Lions beat both the Ottawa RedBlacks and Toronto Argonauts, the Lions now face a desperate Montreal Alouettes team.

The Lions have been the league's best on the road, going 5-1, but at home BC is just 2-2 - a place they'll be for five of the last eight games.

Quarterback Jonathon Jennings and the offence has been average at times but also clutch when needed in late wins against both Ottawa and Toronto.

With the offence streaky, the defence has been anything but that. Solomon Elimimian has been terrorizing opponents, recording 70 tackles, which included a team-record 14 against the Argonauts. Alex Bazzie has also been tremendous and is the league leader in quarterback sacks with nine.

The Alouettes, who've dropped the last two games, will have Rakeem Cato under centre, replacing Kevin Glenn. Glenn has started in all but one game this season but tossed six interceptions the last two contests, in losses to Winnipeg and Ottawa. Cato was the starter against the Hamilton Tiger-Cats in Week 4 and completed 18-of-25 for 203 yards and zero touchdowns.

Cato will have receiver Duron Carter inserted back into the lineup after serving his one-game suspension. Carter is Montreal's leading wideout, recording 717 yards and five touchdowns in nine games.

The game gets underway 10 p.m. ET from BC Place.
