The Saskatchewan Roughriders have signed veteran defensive end Khalif Mitchell to their practice roster, the club announced Wednesday.
Mitchell, 31, is a two-time CFL All-Star with 14 career sacks. The former BC Lions pass-rusher hasn't played since the 2014 season, however, and was cut by the Montreal Alouettes during training camp last year after he posted a series of controversial tweets.
Mitchell joins a Saskatchewan team still in search of its second win of the season.
