Eskimos sign free-agent defensive lineman Jason Vega

Free-agent defensive lineman Jason Vega has inked a contract with the Edmonton Eskimos, the team announced Tuesday.
The 29-year-old spent last season with the Toronto Argonauts, appearing in seven games and recording 11 defensive tackles, two special teams tackles, two sacks, and one forced fumble.
Over two stints with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers, from 2011-12 and again in 2014, Vega started 28 of 38 games, making 82 defensive tackles and 17 quarterback sacks.
Vega spent 2013 in the NFL with both the New England Patriots and the Dallas Cowboys, appearing in two games for the Cowboys and making one tackle.
