The Toronto Argonauts have made a move to potentially fill a hole for injured quarterback Ricky Ray, signing former Montreal Alouettes and Hamilton Tiger-Cats pivot Dan LeFevour to the practice roster, according to Anton Bennett of Argonauts.ca.

LeFevour tweeted out his thoughts about joining the Argonauts and appeared to be quite excited to be returning north of the border.

LeFevour spent time with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers before being waived Wednesday, according to Greg Auman of the Tampa Bay Times.

His most recent tenure in the CFL came with the Alouettes, which lasted only one game as he suffered a season-ending shoulder injury in the 2015 opener. LeFevour also played for the Tiger-Cats from 2012-14, spending most of his stint in Hamilton as a depth option behind the Ottawa RedBlacks' current starting quarterback, Henry Burris.

LeFevour was most notably the record holder for most total touchdowns in the NCAA with Central Michigan, until his record was broken by Case Keenum in 2011. LeFevour was named the MAC Offensive Player of the Year in 2007 and 2009.
