The Montreal Alouettes appeared to right the ship in Week 6, at least for one night, and will look to add on to that stellar effort in Week 7 against the BC Lions.

The Alouettes absolutely decimated the Saskatchewan Roughriders last week, handing the Riders a 41-3 defeat. Kevin Glenn was proficient, going 27-of-36 for 299 yards and two touchdowns, while Duron Carter hauled in eight passes for 115 yards.

The Lions happened to score the same number of points as the Alouettes in Week 6, but were defeated by the Calgary Stampeders 44-41.

Jonathon Jennings aired the ball out frequently, recording 374 passing yards and three touchdown passes. Both Bryan Burnham and Emmanuel Arceneaux had over 100 receiving yards in the losing effort, 139 and 128 respectively.

With the Lions' tendency to throw the ball, the Alouettes will once again need a solid defensive effort to keep the game close. The BC defensive unit is not one to be overlooked either, as the Lions are averaging 3.2 sacks and four passes defended per game in 2016.

Montreal's John Bowman, fresh off a new contract extension, and Jovon Johnson are among the league leaders in sacks, and the Alouettes will look to them to lead the defense against the second-place team in the West Division. The only man with more sacks on the season than Bowman will be across the field Thursday in Alex Bazzie, who will no doubt have Glenn in his sights.

Kickoff is Thursday at 7 p.m. ET from Montreal's Percival-Molson Memorial Stadium
