RedBlacks, Argonauts square off with 1st place in East on the line
When the Toronto Argonauts and Ottawa RedBlacks faced each other two weeks ago, Ricky Ray and Trevor Harris were under centre for each team respectively. In Week 6 action Sunday, though, with first place in the East Division on the line, Henry Burris will return to the RedBlacks' lineup while the Argonauts look to backup Logan Kilgore in place of the injured Ray.
Ray left Monday's game against the Alouettes with a sprained MCL that will sideline the quarterback for three-to-five weeks.
Burris, who injured his hand in the season opener, returns to a team that hasn't missed a beat without the 41-year-old: The RedBlacks went 3-1-1, leading the league in touchdowns, passing yards, and total points on offense, averaging 31.6 per game.
Kilgore will make his first professional regular-season start. He started both preseason contests for Toronto and spent 2015 on the practice roster. When called upon in Monday's win over the Alouettes, the Californian completed one pass on three attempts for 15 yards and one interception.
The RedBlacks organization will also honour the 1976 Ottawa Rough Riders team that won the Grey Cup, the last Ottawa team to win the championship. An announcement scheduled prior to the game is expected to officially award the city the Grey Cup in 2017.
