The Edmonton Eskimos received some bad news Sunday when it was announced that linebacker Alex Hoffman-Ellis will be out 12-16 weeks with a torn right bicep.
Hoffman-Ellis suffered the injury in the Eskimos' 39-36 win over the Saskatchewan Roughriders, where he recorded two tackles before leaving the game.
The 26-year-old was acquired by Edmonton from Hamilton on Monday for a conditional 2018 eighth-round pick.
