With Duron Carter already appealing a one-game suspension and S.J. Green out for the season with injury, the Montreal Alouettes receiving corps took yet another hit Thursday.
The Als announced that wideout Kenny Stafford has been placed on the six-game injured list after suffering a fractured big toe during last week's loss to the Ottawa RedBlacks. The injury will not require surgery, though it is expected to keep him sidelined for an extended period.
Stafford recorded 47 catches for 732 yards and nine touchdowns for the Edmonton Eskimos last season. He signed as a free agent for his second stint in Montreal this offseason after being traded to the Eskimos prior to the 2015 campaign.
