The BC Lions have started their season with the pedal to the metal, and the next team in their way is the Toronto Argonauts.

The Lion's 2-0 start has been in part to well-rounded performances and widespread contributions. The Argonauts have managed to head into week 3 with an even 1-1 record, albeit with heavy reliance on their leader Ricky Ray and the passing game.

The offensive advantage leans toward the Lions heading into the Thursday night matchup, with a near 50-yard advantage in yards per game so far this season. The Argonauts lead the matchup ever so slightly in the air, but the running game has been almost non-existent for the Boatmen this far.

Jonathon Jennings has not looked back since beginning his first season as a starting quarterback, and the battle of youth versus experience with Ray will be one to watch. The Argonauts will need more of a presence from the running game, as Brandon Whitaker leads the team with just 42 rushing yards through two games.

Defence may very well be the difference maker when all is said and done Thursday. The Lions have only allowed 21 points through two games, while the Argonauts have allowed a league worst 59 points against. The Lions are also averaging an impressive 3.5 sacks per game to start the season.
