Burris out vs. Alouettes with finger injury
The Ottawa RedBlacks have placed quarterback Henry Burris on the one-game injured list, meaning Trevor Harris will make his first start for the club Thursday against the Montreal Alouettes.
The 41-year-old, who hasn't missed a game since 2007, injured the finger in the third quarter of the season-opening win against the Edmonton Eskimos on Saturday. Harris, who joined Ottawa from the Toronto Argonauts during the offseason, was electric off the bench, throwing for 292 yards and three touchdowns in the overtime victory.
With a performance like that from Harris, Ottawa would be wise to not rush the veteran signal-caller back to action. After the road game in Montreal, Ottawa's off until July 8, when it hosts the Calgary Stampeders in its 2016 home opener.
