The Winnipeg Blue Bombers managed to put points on the board in all four quarters, but it was not enough to take down a persistent Ottawa RedBlacks team.

Henry Burris, 41, led the way for the RedBlacks, completing 13-of-21 passes for a game-high 158 yards and a seven-yard touchdown pass to Brad Sinopoli with 2:12 left to go in the second quarter. The only other touchdown pass came courtesy of Blue Bombers quarterback Matt Nichols, who went 6-of-9 for 73 yards in the contest.

Travon Van and Travis Greene ran the ball seven times each for the RedBlacks, for 38 yards and 29 yards, respectively. Timothy Flanders and Bryan Bennett each hustled for 29 yards for the Blue Bombers, with Flanders recording six carries, while Bennett recorded four.

Six different receivers hauled in more than 20 yards for the RedBlacks on the night, led by Khalil Paden with 72 yards on three receptions. Gerrard Sheppard led the Blue Bombers with 45 yards on three receptions, but it was Quincy McDuffie who reeled in the only Winnipeg touchdown reception of the evening.

C.J. Roberts pulled down the only interception of the game, picking off Ottawa quarterback Danny O'Brien at the 10:16 mark of the fourth quarter.

Both teams' kickers were active tonight, but neither was perfect. Sergio Castillo was 2-of-3 for the Blue Bombers with a long of 48 yards, while Christopher Milo was 3-of-5 for the RedBlacks with a long of 38 yards.

The victorious RedBlacks (1-0) will take on the Hamilton Tiger-Cats (0-1) at Tim Hortons Field on June 17, while the Blue Bombers (1-1) end their preseason with a home win and a road loss heading into the regular season.
