Bishop's defensive back Jonathan Fortin will not be taking his talents to the CFL this year after testing positive for a banned substance at the regional combine in March, the league announced Friday.
Fortin is ineligible to be drafted this year because of the positive test, and will have his draft year pushed back to 2017. If Fortin appeals and wins, he would then be eligible for the supplemental draft.
Out of 80 players tested prior to the draft, Fortin was the only positive test.
