CFL to expand draft to 8 rounds

The CFL will be adding an additional round to their draft, senior vice president Glen Johnson announced Wednesday. The changes are set to begin at this year's event.
"With the emerging Canadian football talent across all levels, general managers across the CFL agreed that expanding the draft would be beneficial to the league," Johnson said.
The additional round means the draft it will jump to eight rounds after being at seven for the past three years.
This year's draft goes down May 10, where the Saskatchewan Roughriders will pick first overall.
