Corey Kluber had a career day against the Kansas City Royals on Thursday afternoon, in fact it was one of the most efficient and effective days a Cleveland pitcher has had in a century.
Kluber struck out a career-high 11, and surrendered just four hits and one run in his first complete game. He managed to do it all on just 101 pitches.
It was just the fifth start of the season for Kluber. He came into the game with a 1-2 record, 5.40 ERA and 1.714 WHIP. Maybe this is a sign that Kluber, 28, is about to begin a stretch of dominant pitching performances.
