Edmonton Eskimos release import guard Devin Tyler
EDMONTON - The Edmonton Eskimos have released import guard Devin Tyler.
He began the season on the suspended list as he served a 90-day jail sentence for a 2011 assault that occurred in a nightclub in his hometown of Washington D.C.
The Eskimos kept a roster spot kept a roster spot for Tyler while he served his sentence. He rejoined the team prior to game six.
He started in 11 games and was on the reserve list for two.
The 26-year-old signed to the Eskimos as a free agent on Aug. 15, 2011.
