40,000 People Sing Journey
Um... OK.
So, appearently during the 8th inning-- as in the eighth inning-- of the San Francisco Giants' game two victory over the Texas Rangers in the World Series, all of AT&T Park took part in a goosebump-inducing (at least for Kevin Kaduk of Big League Stew) rendition of Journey's Lights, a song about the city of-- holy shit that's Steve Perry on the scoreboard!!!!!
And apparently it's not the first time, either, as the video at the bottom-- also from BLS, and also featuring Perry-- shows. In that one, however, the fans of San Francisco sing along to the much easier to remember (and therefore less impressive) Don't Stop Believing, which has apparently been something of an anthem for these Giants.
Personally, I'm about ready for peoples' ironic infatuation with Journey to end. But... OK... I can't deny, this is pretty alright... (though, seriously, who the fuck knows the words to Lights????)
