The Best Sports Hair Ever?

I have no idea why anyone would label these pictures as being of some of the "best hairstyles in sports history." Maybe it's just to not upset the athletes being featured, but clearly these are awful. Atrocious. Unspeakable.

And they're just a taste of all the horrible, horrible crimes against hairstyling that you can check out in a fantastic little gallery that Sports Illustrated has put together in the wake of news that Lloyd's of London had insured Steelers safety Troy Polamalu's hair to the tune of $1-million.

Check out the SI link for 25 more examples of what, if you ask me (like I'm one to talk), is pure FAIL. Or... at least most of them are. Certainly not the golden locks of Jack Sikma or Phil Jackson's mountain man look, for example, but most of the rest of them are... well... kinda like these:
