Gibson's HR in RBI Baseball
We've seen it before with the Bill Buckner play in Game 6 of the 1986 World Series, and now here's another gem recreated using RBI Baseball: Kirk Gibson's blast for the Dodger off A's Hall-of-Fame closer Dennis Eckersley in Game 1 of the 1988 Series, as called by the legendary Vin Scully.
In fact, it's a recreation of the entire bottom of the ninth inning of that game, which the A's went into leading 4-3 after a Jose Canseco grand slam in the second, and which was ended by Gibson's dramatic walk-off home run, which some people are actually insane enough to rank higher than Joe Carter's walk-off to end the 1993 World Series. Wrongheaded as that notion is, Gibson's belt is still a great baseball moment, worthy of the RBI Baseball treatment.
