More On Haynesworth

In this morning's Link Dump, we talked a little bit about Washington's Red Skins defensive tackle Albert Haynesworth and the embarrassment he's suffered at the hands of Mike Shanahan, who has refused to allow the two-time Pro Bowler to begin practicing with the team until he can complete a conditioning test.

The test consists of two 300-yard shuttle runs (25-yard sprints, there and back, six times), the first finished in 70 seconds and then, after a three and a half minute break, a repeat performance in 73 seconds.  It sounds grueling to the type of person who sounds as though he walked up ten flight of stairs just rolling over in bed and hoisting a laptop from the nightstand and onto his chest so that he can complete his quota of weekend Buzz posts.  Not that I'd have any idea what that would sound like.

However, to a FOX sports reporter, more in need of attention than a small-town beauty queen, the test sounded like something she might try to prove a certain defensive tackle devoid of manliness.  The video results are below.

Meanwhile, Hayneswoth decided against even attempting to prove his mettle to Coach Shanahan today, vowing instead to beat the test on Sunday in order to be allowed to practice.

Speaking of FOX, I'm thinking that this test of wills could form the pilot of a whole new prime time reality series, When Egos Collide.
