Notre Dame tries to get fans fired up
The atmosphere at NCAA games has taken a decidedly hostile turn south. This means, of course, that the most hostile stadiums in all of college football are in the southern states. The word south is key here.
A once hostile, now maligned home crowd resides in South Bend, Indiana. The Notre Dame Fighting Irish have come under scrutiny in recent years for a docile and largely reserved audience.
The Fighting Irish are clearly aware of the reputation and have launched a campaign to get people out of their seats and making noise. Whether or not it works remains to be seen, given that this isn't the most convincing thing we've ever seen, but hey, it's worth a shot.
With an 18-16 home record in the past five years, any help is much appreciated.
