Going for a two-point conversion when trailing by one point, is a very audacious move. As a coach you have to be very confident in your players and your job security to attempt this. You also need one special play in reserve, (see: Boise State) that is guaranteed to gain those two elusive yards.

The Western Kentucky Hilltoppers attempted a two-point conversion today while trailing their in-state rivals, the Kentucky Wildcats, by one point. The play was perfectly designed, as it completely fooled the Wildcats and gave the Hilltoppers a one-point victory.
