'Bama Defensive Tackle Bench Presses 600 Pounds

Alabama defensive tackle Jesse Williams (@ThaMonstar) is strong. I mean really, really strong.

According to Williams and his teammates on Twitter, the 6',4", 320-pound Australian native recently bench pressed 600 pounds during summer workouts. I repeat, 600 POUNDS. The picture above serves as proof.

And Al.Com's Matt Scalici put Williams' feat into perspective:

"... former Memphis star Dontari Poe, the top bench press performer at this year's NFL Combine, maxed out at 500 pounds on the bench press."

Williams started every game for the Crimson Tide last season, collecting 24 tackles, and four tackles for loss.
