Abby Wambach Punched In Face During Olympic Match
U.S. women's soccer star Abby Wambach was punched in the face by Colombia's Lady Andrade in an Olympic match on Saturday.
Here's the punch in GIF form, via Gifulmination (@bubbaprog):

The referee didn't see the punch, so there was no call and Andrade was allowed to remain in the match (although she could still face punishment for upcoming Olympic matches after officials review the footage). Andrade claimed after the match that the punch was an unintentional, but it certainly didn't look that way.
As for Wambach, she had trouble seeing out of her right eye for the remainder of the match, but that didn't stop the superstar from scoring her 140th international goal, in a 3-0 U.S. victory which secured them a place in the quarterfinals.
