Rock 'N' Roll Sports

I saw these two pictures while on Uni-Watch today, and I just had to toss them up on The Buzz. We tend to deal in so much snark and bullshit around here, I wanted to post something that was just legitimately feel-good.

Below are two pieces of childhood sports memorabillia from two of the greatest musicians of the 1960s. The first is a drawing by a 15 year-old James Marshall "Jimi" Hendrix, showing a UCLA player catching a football. The second is the little league cap worn by Beach Boy Brian Wilson. It has "Mickey Mantle Special" writted on the underbrim in pen.

This may make me smile for the rest of the weekend.
