NMA on Jeremy Lin

It comes as a shock to no one that Taiwanese website NMA felt morally obliged to animate the surprise 25-point performance by the Knicks Taiwanese-American back-up point guard. While Lin himself is a native of NorCal, not Taipei, Taiwan is a small island nation that's constantly having its legitimacy challenged by the People's Republic of China, so it makes sense that they like to celebrate the successes of Taiwanese decendants as a way of asserting themselves.

Unfortunately, it's also not particularly surprising that said animation features a little bit of China-bashing, including Lin inexplicably throwing flaming basketballs at Yao Ming's head.
