Classic Games Sim Super Bowl

While EA Sports' official Madden 12 Super Bowl simulation has the Giants knocking off the Patriots in a close one, it'd be remiss if we didn't expand the sample size with more sources. Thankfully, some good gaming folk have run their own Super Bowl simulations using some classic football games in Tecmo Bowl and NFL 2K5!

Operation Sports simulates Super Bowl XLVI with NFL 2K5:

So we have EA Sports calling the Giants Super Bowl champions in a 27-24 game, NFL 2K5 calling for a 45-31 shootout and Tecmo Bowl calling the Giants in a 24-7 romp. Science!

Spencer Hall of Every Day Should Be Saturday and SBNation's Jon Bois offered up their own alternative Madden 12 Super Bowl simulation, complete with punters as quarterbacks, injuries turned up to 100%, wind and rain, no penalties and Chan Gailey playbooks for both teams. Pure awesome.
