Kid Scores Beauty Lacrosse Goal
Young Oliver Wahlstrom resurrected his lacrosse style goal (minus the spin-o-rama this time) for an intermission event at TD Garden on Tuesday night.
Here's a clip of the goal and most of the jokes I was hoping to crack about this child's highlight, courtesy of The Nosebleeds:
I'm sure most of you remember Oliver Wahlstrom, the 9-year-old who pulled off this sick move in the Mini 1-on-1 last year and made national headlines. He even cracked a feat that many NHLers fail to accomplish on any given night, make ESPN's Top Plays/Sportscenter in general. Well, Oliver made his triumphant return to the Mini 1-on-1 during tonight's Bruins game and one-upped himself with this lacrosse style goal. I couldn't even pull this off in NHL 07 or whichever year had the crazy deke stick thing. The only thing keep Oliver from getting more girls than Tyler Seguin is the fact that he probably still thinks girls have cooties.
Wahlstrom may be, as Puck Daddy's Greg Wyshynski refers to him, a prodigy... or maybe he's just the next Robbie Schremp. We should have a better idea in 8-10 years.
