Super Bowl Marketing Error
Apparently, somewhere in America, there's a Wal-Mart that believes the 49ers beat the Giants last weekend.
Actually, as someone who spent about a decade in various morale-crushing, soul-deadening menial McJobs before striking gold in becoming a professional blogger, I suspect that this is the work of one angry stock clerk/49ers fan. He probably clocked in slightly after he was supposed to one night and decided that if he was going to get fired anyway — because Glen, the assistant manager is a total dick and completely has it out for him — he might as well go out in a blaze of glory and Niner pride.
(Please note, this is totally hypothetical, and based on nothing other than a knowledge of what it's like to be a member of Richard Florida's "service class." Yeah, that's right, I just referenced Richard Florida in a sports blog.)
