Alley-Whoops! When Lobs Become 3s
Here we have two strange plays from Wednesday night B1G action. Two attempted lob passes, from two different games, went in for three pointers. Coincidence? We may have an aborted lob pass epidemic on our hands.
Exhibit A: Ohio State's Aaron Craft attempts to throw an alley-oop to Sam Thompson. The ball goes directly to the hoop for a three from just a few steps over half court.
Exhibit B: Julian Welch of Minnesota also had some luck on his side Wednesday night when his attempted alley-oop to Rodney Williams also ended up as a three.
What's going on here? Somebody call Robert Stack, this mystery needs to get solved.
