Massive Head Wound Hallsy

A look at the patched up wound Taylor Hall suffered on Tuesday night when a spill during warmups resulted in skate blade to the head. Put a helmet on kid!

Hall required 30 stitches to close up the cut, but he told reporters that he's doing well.

According to Hall's mother, Kim Strba, he will be wearing a helmet for warmups when he returns. Strba on the incident and the damage done, via The Edmonton Journal

“We’ve had that discussion. Yes, he will be wearing his helmet.

I think he was thanking his lucky stars. He knows it could have been much worse. I’ve seen the video a couple of times on TV. It wasn’t easy to watch.

I asked him if he was still good looking and he said, ‘Mom, I look like Frankenstein.’ Maybe it will send a message to everyone about how important it is to wear a helmet. Maybe it will be a wake-up call."
