Gumbel Rips Hogan Over Tebow
Greg Gumbel did play-by-play for the CBS broadcast of the Cardinals-Steelers game today in Arizona. And at some point during the broadcast, CBS had a graphic up about headlines from the early NFL games today. As you would assume, Tim Tebow was featured on there for leading the Broncos to a comeback victory over the Dolphins.
Well, then things unexpectedly got weird. Gumbel randomly brought up Hulk Hogan's comments from a couple of weeks ago on ESPN's SportsNation that ripped(and jokingly it seemed) on Tim Tebow(we put up video of that here on the Buzz).
Here's what Gumbel had to say(and thanks to SB Nation for the transcript):
"You know, you remember two weeks ago Hulk Hogan came out and really ripped Tim Tebow? And I was thinking to myself: I must have been out of the country when Hulk Hogan ... when people cared what he thought about anything other than play acting, you know, a fake sport."
And here's video of Gumbel saying that:
Gumbel surely pissed off a lot of wrestling fans with those comments. And I'd love to see a response from Hogan.
