Flare Surfing

Red Bull's Minor Threat video series pairs junior surfers with respected surf veterans, in the hope that the old guys will impart some of their accumulated wisdom on the youngsters, while the kids will imbue the vets with their youthful recklessness. 

In the latest edition, the crew strapped flares to their boards and rode some waves in Indonesia. Not only is this cool to look at, but it's also an incredible display of skill. Anyone who's ever tried to surf knows that it's hard as hell, so I have a lot of respect for anyone who can pull it off. That these guys can surf while keeping their flares out of the water is so hard that I'm exhausted just thinking about it.
