Stubby Clapp Freaks Out
If you're wondering what single-season major leaguer and Canadian baseball folk hero Stubby Clapp has been up to since his appearance for the Canadian national team at the 2009 World Baseball Classic, he's attempting to make a name for himself as a manager, and according to this video, kind of succeeding.
Clapp is currently the bench boss for the Tri-City ValleyCats, the Houston Astros Short-Season A affiliate based out of Troy, NY.
This came from a recent game against the Auburn Doubledays, in which Clapp thought one of his players was hit by a pitch, while the umpire disagreed. Clapp responded to the call by throwing a helmet, at which point the ump tossed him out of the game.
After that, things went downhill.
