Crazy Finnish Announcer

South American soccer announcers need to fall back, they've officially been replaced as the most awesome announcers in sports by Finnish hockey commentators.

Don't believe me? Listen to this insane call of Mikael Granlund's goal against Russia from today's IIHF World Cup semi-finals. It's like a volcano of hard consonants and long vowels exploding everywhere.

The excitement of the intital goal, the tension of the goal being disputed, the near-tears of relief when the goal is ruled good, it's like an emotional roller coaster.

I mean, I understand that this game was a big deal for the Finns, being a sort of Winter War on ice, but man, if he's this stoked in the semis, imagine how excited this guy will be for the finals.

(Thanks, again, to Sean Keay for sending this to me.)
