WIN: Fake Mets Ad
This fake ad for New York Mets season tickets may be the most brilliant piece of sports humour I've seen since the Onion Sports Dome had soccer come out as gay.
First of all, it's remarkable because the awkward, amateurish tone is a note-perfect reproduction of the Mets' terrible promo video released earlier this month.
Secondly, the guy who's playing Mets' Assistant GM John Ricco looks a lot like the real John Ricco. I had to really stop and make sure this wan't the real guy doing a real ad.
Thirdly, I have a feeling that deep down, John Ricco really is this scared about fielding a team where the having Mookie Wilson as a base coach may actually be the most exciting thing about them. Especially when New York fans are known to be so easy going and forgiving.
Watch this and tell me it's not hilarious.
Okay, I take that back. Mookie Wilson is not the best thing about the 2011 Mets. Tehmeena Afzal is the best thing about the 2011 Mets.
