FAIL: Owl Kicking

I'm not sure what to say here. 

This is from a weekend match in Colombia between Deportivo Pereira and Atletico Juniors. For some reason, Deportivo's Luis Moreno got it in his head to kick Atletico's already-injured owl mascot while it was laying prone on the pitch. Just so we're clear, this is an actual, defenseless owl. Not a guy in an owl suit.

It looks like Moreno will face sanctions from the league, and veteranarians are saying that owl has a broken leg, but will be fine otherwise. They're tough little birds.

Moreno had this to say in his defense:

"I want to apologize to the fans. I was not trying to hurt the owl. I did it to see if it would fly.
