Joining fellow German side 1860 Munich, FC Koln has followed suit by releasing a commemorative regional "Karneval" kit to honour the city's famous Roten Funken guards.

The gaudy kit boasts both imitation tassels and a cummerbund, which the Billy Goats will unveil during Saturday's Bundesliga match with relegation fodder Stuttgart.
Koln, which currently sits ninth in the table on 24 points, also posted a video on the club's website detailing the inspiration for the jerseys.
